Match turf type to the use case
Pet turf, putting greens, and landscape turf should not be scoped the same way. Pet areas need drainage and cleaning expectations; putting greens need a different surface; landscape turf needs edge, heat, and base planning.
Base prep and drainage come before appearance
Artificial turf can fail if the base, slope, drainage, seams, edge restraints, or pet-use details are ignored. Include low spots, downspouts, shade, slopes, and sprinkler-head notes before choosing materials.
Sprinklers may need capping or rerouting
Replacing lawn with turf often changes irrigation needs. Visible heads, valve zones, controller notes, and nearby plant beds should be reviewed before turf and base materials cover the area.
